Surrey ended theirday at 53 for two in their second innings.Yorkshire made a disastrous start when Alex Tudor dismissed SimonWiddup and Anthony McGrath in the first two balls of the innings. Theywere in further trouble when they lost the third wicket of Craven atthe score on just four.A 63-run fourth wicket partnership between Darren Lehmann (66) andDavid Byas (19) rescued Yorkshire from further disaster. Lehmann added afurther 39 runs with GM Fellows for the fifth wicket. Lehmann was the sixthbatsman to be dismissed at 123. Soon Tudor along with Pakistan’s SaqlainMustaq returned to polish of the tail. Tudor ended with 4 wickets for 75while BC Hollioake picked up three for 67 and Saqlain Mushtaq in his thespace of seven balls picked two wickets conceding no runs. Surrey with anoverall lead of 251 did not enforce the follow-on and decided to bat,thereby making certain that Yorkshire were out of the contest.
